 Track Description
In this track students will learn about different styles of artwork by various artist and will learn to express themselves about them. Thus fulfilling curriculum Standard II. Children need many opportunities to look at and talk about art. From looking at works of art, children learn to perceive and respond to the AESTHETIC qualities found in art. They learn that children and adult artists work in similar and different ways and create different symbols. Children who are exposed to works of art, REPRODUCTIONS of art, and works produced by other children, learn to discuss their own preferences and ideas about visual forms. They learn that there will be responses and perceptions that are different from their own and to respect these differences. This Track will help students with teacher survey questions #5. My students find ways to use what they learn, and survey question #9. My students spot the important facts, concepts and vocabulary when they are learning something new.
