This track is a list of links that will give students practice that will help them increase their vocabulary. Students have difficulty with reading comprehension due to not understanding the vocabulary used. Students have shown poor performances on TCAP tests and teacher-made tests. Students scored below the 50th percentile. The Tennessee Curriculum Framework Standard for reading grades 6-8 states: The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. This track provides my students with ways to improve their vocabulary while using the Internet as outlined in the Teacher Profiler Survey.
