This track provides students the opportunity to build their vocabulary and use the new words to write a story. In the lesson students learn new words and use crossword puzzles in the learning process. Students then use the new vocabulary to write stories. This lesson addresses the Tennessee Language Arts Writing Grade 9 Curriculum: TLW develop the structural and creative writing skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. The lesson also provides students the chance to use the Internet to research topics in class as addressed in the pre-survey.
