 Track Description
The stated learning gap is difficulty in reading comprehension. The 3rd grade English/Language Arts Standard states that students will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. I chose this unit because it will help my students think about their best skills and use them to complete a task. This track is also designed to help students in reading comprehension. The learning expectations this unit will address are: Students will find ways to use what they have learned. Students will try more than one way to solve a problem. Student will read independently for pleasure and information. Student will read orally for fluency, accuracy, expression, and confidence.
