 Track Description
The unit, "Charlotte's Web", involves the student in activities and web sources that develop and built upon the Tennessee Curriculum Framework by allowing the student to use a variety of technology to improve classroom learning, increase productivity, and support creativity. The lesson is adapted for third grade to "tie" in activities with the book "Charlotte's Web" with Language Arts Standards, as well as, computer technology. Students will write a persuasive essay, a report on "How to Care For a Pet" and "Spiders". Students will create a brochure for the State Fair and write a descriptive paragraph on barns. All these activities are computer generated and meet the framework standards. Students will use the Internet to research topics and to answer questions or practice skills on line.
