 Track Description
This lesson will provide my students with an active learning lesson to help them understand the concept of place value in decimals. Taking part physically in the lesson lends itself to better memorization of the skill being taught. In order to develop Number Sense and an understanding of Number Theory, the mathematics curriculum must include problems which require students to recognize, represent, and model real numbers and operations verbally, physically, symbolically, and graphically. This unit will address the following Teacher Profile Question: My students connect what they learn in school to what they do outside of school.
