 Track Description
This unit was chosen to address the learning gap: difficulty of understanding why and when one should wash one's hands. This unit will teach students about the different types of germs that cause illness and disease. It will teach them about common illnesses and diseases and their symptoms and explain common practices that control the way germs are spread. Through various and fun activities my special education students will {understand attitudes and behaviors for preventing and controlling disease, and describe ways diseases are spread and prevented} Tennessee Health Standard grades 3-5.
