Students Learning Gap: Students demonstrated problems in the area of reading and research skills. Students should be working to reach the below-stated standards:
Standards: The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text.
The student will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences.
The student will express ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of oral contexts and apply active listening skills in the analysis and evaluation of spoken ideas.
The student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately.
Survey items: Students will use the Internet to research topics.
Students will use the Internet to answer questions or practice skills online.
Students think of different ways to tell others what they have learned.
Learning Expectations:
Students will begin to identify and use resources to revise and edit writing.
Students will use appropriate organizational strategies to develop writing,
including main ideas and supporting details.
Students will use media to view, to read, to write, and to create.
Students will use the Internet to research topics.
This track was developed to expose students to experiences that them will help them to diffuse the learning gap and meet the above standards/expectations, while encouraging them to use of the Internet as a research tool.
