 Track Description
This track was created for a group of very bright sixth grade students who have read the book, Behind Rebel Lines by Seymour Reit. By completing this track students will use the Internet and other sources to: 1. complete a vocabulary crossword puzzle 2. research the role of women soldiers 3. create a Civil War fictional character 4. compare/contrast two Civil War heroines. This track addresses the Tennessee Curriculum Framework Language Arts (6-8) standard: Viewing and Representing: The student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately. This track encourages my students to combine new learning with prior knowledge to create new ideas.
