To begin this lesson, the teacher will assign the students an expository essay topic. The teacher will then review the writing process with students by using the Writing Process website on this Expository Essay Writing TrackStar. This site takes students through prewriting, writing, revising, editing, and publishing using video clips comparing the writing process to making a pizza. As the teacher and students go through this site, the students will draft their own essays using activities found on the Expository Essay Writing TrackStar during several of the writing process steps.
