The New York Philharmonic Kidzone is a place for kids to come and learn about the NY Philharmonic and about the instruments, music, musicians, composers, and conductors of symphony music. The depth of information and activities are awesome. (Many symphony orchestras create sites similar to this one; search for orchestras in your area and look for a "kids" area on the site.)

2. Morton Subotnick's Creating Music

Creatingmusic.com is a children's online creative music environment for children of all ages. It's a place for kids to compose music, play with musical performance, music games, and music puzzles.

3. The Music Interactive

The Music Interactive website is a place for music games, activities, and computer-aided instruction software for students. Many downloads are designed to be used with an interactive whiteboard allowing teacher and student to experience music and learning in an interactive and creative way.

4. Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame: Rockin' the Schools

The education section of this site is designed to help educators use popular music to teach across the K-12 curriculum. The site contains 80+ lessons developed by participants and also includes biographical information on Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

5. Ricci Adams' Musictheory.net

This music theory-specific site focuses on beginning music fundamentals. If you don't have internet access, you can download a free offline edition that allows website content to be viewed without an internet connection.

6. BBC School Radio: Primary Dance

A three-part series offered by BBC that provide dance resources for elementary classroom teachers. The series develop from simple movements to creating an original dance (language arts are integrated as well).
