This unit focuses on practicing creative writing skills using a student made manipulative sentence strip. The teacher is able to provide immediate feedback to the student and helps them to become more confident about their writing. Students are then able to move their paragraphs around to place events in order. The unit also demonstrates the use of adjectives and their importance in adding description and color to their paragraphs. Content Standard: the student will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences.
