Many English words are derived from the names of real or imaginary people. In this unit, students will research these words known as "eponyms" in order to learn both their meaning and origin. This unit addresses the Reading 6-8 content standard that states the student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of written text.
