 Track Description
Track-A-Day
This Track is designed to help primary students learn about pet care, the differences between wild and domesticated animals, the many ways animals help people and how we (as a class) can help those animals in need.  Because these questions and activities are designed for the primary grades (particularly first grade) they are intended to be completed by groups of two to four kids.  The questions are higher order thinking, designed to foster a deeper understanding of the materials.  This is accomplished by creating questions that require a real concerted effort by the groups working together to create answers from their prior knowledge and by referencing the materials they read on each site.  These assignments are designed not only with the science curriculum in mind but with the concept of writing across the curriculum as well.
