What is a personal mission statement?  Why do you need one?  

Some people may choose to travel to an unknown destination without a roadmap, but most will get to their destination more quickly if a map is carefully drawn out prior to putting the key into the ignition & putting the foot on the gas.  Think of a personal mission statement as being YOUR roadmap to getting what you want from life.
