This track is designed to lead students to sites which may help them with biographical information to be used in creating a poster for a "Black History Scavenger Hunt". The student will select a person from one of 10 different categories (Sports/Politics/Science & Technolgy/Art/Music/Civil Rights/Literature/History/Entertainment/Education.
They will research enough information to provide: a brief personal life biography; a summary of their accomplishments; and then design a poster which will represent this person graphically & include an answer to a "clue" that they will write for the hunt. As other students view this exhibit, they will locate the answers to the "Scavenger Hunt" by reading the posters.
Student Instructions:
Select a research subject from the list in class, or, scroll through these web sited to get ideas. Once you have decided on a subject and had this choice cleared by the teacher, please print out all information that you feel will help you to create an informative and intersting poster.
