Track-A-Day
This track is designed to engage students in a variety of fun and exciting examples of poetry. It will then build skills in essential elements of poetry and provide students the opportunity to participate in creating their own work.  My class of fourth grader can work on grade level and the class consist of several gifted students and many high achievers.  They are very motivated and enjoy independent assignments.  Our school is equipped with a computer lab that student visit twice a week with the homeroom teacher.  These sites will reinforce the following GPS standards: ELA4R1a-identifying figurative language, and ELA4R1i – Identifying rhyme and rhythm, repetition, similes, and sensory images in poems.
