This track was designed to accompany a reading of the book "Missing May" by Cynthia Rylant. By exploring the sites below and completing the corresponding activities in a Reading Journal, students will gain a deeper understanding of Appalachian culture and history. These sites and activities will also further enrich their reading experience. For evaluation, the Reading Journal and an original illustrated children's story will be submitted.
