This track contains some fun Christmas stories and poems to spark student's interest and generate ideas about writing their own Christmas stories or poems....There is something really magical about Christmas that allows us to see the beauty in ordinary things. I think one of the best things about Christmas is the joy of giving. Over a series of 3-4 days I will be introducing the students to Christmas stories and poems. The first and second day I will read a classic story known as the "Gift of the Magi" and use the 5ws chart to obtain information about the text. The third and 4th day I will read the poem "The Last Christmas Tree" and extract information from the poem using the same procedures. This track is designed for 3rd through 8th grade students.
