 Track Description
Track-A-Day
In this lesson, students explore the life and legend of Paul Revere. Revere, an American patriot during the Revolutionary War period, is immortalized in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem featuring his daring ride to warn countrymen "the British are coming!" Web sites that describe Revere's life, his well-known ride (as well as an earlier one), and his occupation are investigated and discussed. Information from these sources is then used for center activities and projects. The products of center work will be collated to construct a Big Book to display in the school library. Products include a Bio-sketch, Revere Rap, Character profile, and a Picto-map.
