June 1st is: Don't Give Up the Ship Day: Captain James Lawrence of the U.S.S. Chesapeake said this during the War of 1812. This track is to facilitate social studies students who are doing projects or papers on the War of 1812. Or students can just view the sites and find some interesting information about this site. Look for the two famous songs that were written about battles in this war.
