The TN K-2 Language Arts Content Standard states that the student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. This track focuses on comprehension skills in Reading, especially sequencing and drawing conclusions, as students complete activities using Native American legends. Several sites provide online interactive activities to reinforce these skills. Students have the opportunity to use higher order thinking skills.
