 Track Description
Historical fiction is fiction, based upon facts from history. In order to put yourself into the story setting, you need to be able to picture it in your mind and travel back in your imagination, to a place.... long ago...........
As you complete the Track Activities, you will find it easier to put yourself into the setting of Shades of Gray. Search the sites, follow the directions, and go back in time to Virginia, just after The Civil War.
You will see pictures of Virginia, the Great Smokey Mountains, and the Piedmont. You will not only visit a flour mill, but also mills of other types. You will see pictures of farm tools used in the 1860s. Where an "a" or "b" choice is given, you may pick one or both to do.
