 Track Description
The objective of this lesson is to analyze and understand the differences between two main characters, Ralph and Jack, from the novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding.  This lesson incorporates defining the terms protagonist, antagonist, characterization, and point of view.  Each of these terms serve as the foundation of character analysis.  Students will have the opportunity to access information that provides details about each character and their actions that help define them as the antagonist or protagonist.  The final activity includes a group project dividng students into three groups.  These groups will allow students to better understand Ralph's actions, Jack's actions, and how members from an outside audience perceive the actions and behavior of each boy.
