In regard to educational use can a student perform the following scenaro without breaking copyright laws? Scenaro: A student has been directed to restore a black and white photo using Adobe Photoshop Software. The student does not have access to a personal black and white photograph and decides to search the internet for an image. The student uses the Google search engine, and searches for damaged black and white photograph, using the images category. The student locates an image of a mother and child that is damaged and decides to save the image to their computer and begin restoration of the photograph. When the student is finished with restoration they will print the photograph and turn the original and edited photographs in for a grade. The student will not sell or distribute the photograph. The students does not identify how, when, or where the image was obtained.
