 Track Description
This unit is designed to increase students desire and abilities in comprehension of social studies materials. The track will give students a background on Ancient Egypt through the novel Egypt Game. It will then extend to a study of pyramids and also to a science lesson on using simple machines to build things on a grander scale. The Tennessee Curriculum states Students will exhibit knowledge of history identifying and describing major events, people, and trends. This addresses the Profile Survey in that it will allow students to ask questions to help them in comprehension and will also help my students to spot the important parts of a topic and discuss why.
