Track Description
The stated Learning gap is reading and understanding Charlotte's Web. The unit "Weaving Charlotte's Web" was chosen because it requires the students to locate the setting and the characters in Charlotte's Web. It gives an overview of the book. The 4th grade Language Art content standard states that the student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text.I chose this unit because it allowed my students to use the Internet to do activities and perform research about Charlotte's Web, the author, spiders, and pigs.
