 Track Description
This track is designed to help kids who are learning challenged to understand directions. I chose Amelia Bedelia because her story line helps my kids identify with her misunderstandings and interpretations of what is asked of her. The curriculum standard I am addressing has the objective to improve comprehension by interpreting, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating written text. This is a challenge for my student body. However, the additional tracks chosen allows my kids to see other ways of approaching this issue for them. One of the tracks allows kids to create their own "story stew" which helps them to think of this issue from the other end of the spectrum. Other sites allow them to read stories and imagine themselves as the character. One other site allows kids to do cyberguided activities which strengthen their technology skills
