 Track Description
This track is designed to enhance and supplement a third grade unit on Jamestown. It incorporates activities that include math and language arts skills. Students will review a timeline of important events and will answer questions presented on a worksheet in cloze format. They will take a tour of the Virtual Jamestown gallery and use their writing skills to address a prompt. Students will view images of 17th century maps and compose written questions to one of the original Jamestown settlers. They will solve math problems that relate to the occupations of the New World and take a trip to a virtual Jamestown fort where they will gain additional information about important buildings in the settlement. Students will then enjoy making their own word search puzzle with pertinent vocabulary words and names. The Jamestown Trivia Quiz completes the tour with a Funbrain assessment.
