In this unit, students will investigate the people and times of the American Revolutionary War in and around Boston, Massachusetts. The TN curriculum standard for reading in grades 6-8 states, \"The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text.\" Item 3 from the survey is reflected in this unit in which my students \"think about their best skills and use them to complete a task.\"
