 Track Description
This track is intended as an overview of the Great Hurricane of 1938, which slammed into the coast of Long Island and New England on September 21, 1938 almost without warning.  You will answer questions on the origins of the storm, where it traveled, how the National Weather Service tracked the hurricane, and why the National Weather Service never issued a more serious warning other than for gale force winds.  You will also read about and answer questions about the trail of death and devastation left by the storm here in New England.
