 Track Description
Children need to communicate, speak and listen to others throughout their lives. The Tennessee Curriculum Standard states that students will express ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of oral contexts and apply active listening skills in the analysis and evaluation of spoken ideas. Through the use of this unit, students will be able to express ideas clearly, apply active listening skills and communicate with adults and other students in the library. Students will be able to demonstrate comprehension by retelling a story that is told to them. Students will be able to relate what they learn in school to the outside world. They will be able to realize they can accomplish things that sometimes seem to hard.
