 Track Description
One of the Tennessee Curriculum Framework Content Standards for Language Arts for grades 3-5, states that students will develop the structual and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. In this track, students will complete activities which will serve as the basis for writing descriptive paragraphs, journal entries, and stories; develop better understanding of sequencing, write creatively using a storystarter, and write and impromptu story- thus helping develop the structual and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. Learning expectations for this track include: 1.) writing a descriptive paragraph that includes specific details and ideas, 2.) use proper squencing in writing a story, 3.) write creatively using story starters, and 4.) create the beginning of story, develop plot of story, read and analyze another's work and write story conclusion.
